Wonder how it would compare to the Yamaha, though hard to imagine a comparison between the 2 guitars at all

That’s not so say Yamaha does not make nice guitars but.....

It's a bit more of a mouthful to say "HD-28 Modern Deluxe/VTS Sitka top/Adirondack Golden Era Bracing"

I never got around to doing the nearest dealer drive (45 minutes) to try them before the onslaught.

Have fun breaking it in.
