This thread has really just illustrated who WE think is famous and admire versus who the non-music/guitar-nerd public would consider famous.

That said, I would think to those who don't play guitar, Lucille would probably be as famous as Trigger and beyond that, most people would *maybe* associate a generic Strat w/Clapton and Hendrix.
