makes me think about Dickie Smothers ( of smothers Brothers fame )
and his TV model D-55 , hes the one who who got me interested in the D-55 ( which i latter bought )
Kinda funny in a way -becasue the smothers brothers donated they instruments and costumes to the Comedy Center museum in Jamestown NY -
which is close by for me -

Also seem to remember a Gretch white falcon , Neil young was famous for
(one of my favorite concerts )

Two greats known for playing Guild F30s

Mississippi John Hurt. and Paul Simon.

I know Paul Simon is playing Olsens and Martins these days -- but it was Guild back in the day.

Speaking of Guild guitars. Here is probably the most famous Guild acoustic.

Rich Havens and his Guild D40 opening the Woodstock Music Festival.

I must be the odd ball here. I never associated a guitar with a player, with the exception of Trigger, which I think is crazy.

Don't forget 'Wolf' too.

Can't believe no-one's mentioned Peter Green's '59 Les Paul, which passed to Gary Moore and now belongs to Metallica's Kirk Hammett.

Don't forget Brian Setzer and his 1959 Gretsch 6120 Nashville. People talking about keeping the Gretsch company in business. I'm a huge fan of Brian and what he does with a guitar!! One of the most under rated guitar players around.

I think it truth, most guitarist are known for a MODEL of guitar, not just the ONE guitar.

For instance:

Melissa Ethridge. She plays a lot with an Ovation 12 string.

But as I searched, I found she plays a range of Ovation 12 strings. But, even if the photos showed mostly the one above, I would bet there are one or two others, waiting in the wings, if she broke a string or needed a different tuning.

Another for instance:
Lindsey Buckingham and his Turner Model 1

I saw one of those gear run down youtube clips and he has at least three of them in his rack.

Lindsey may be one that is most know for a MODEL of guitar, with this Model 1 because he and Rick Turner came up with it FOR him.
