Default My Teles :)

Given there seems to be quite a bit of Telecaster love around here , thought I would post a pic of my two electrics, a 50's classic Esquire and FSR Paisley Telecaster.

Very cool. Teles have a unique sound. That's a good looking pair right there.

I'll have to grab a picture of mine. I have an SX alder Tele I stuck a black pickguard on to look like a 52. It's got Bill Lawrence pickups in it and it's a great player. My other one is a Squier thinline with a Fishman power bridge in it. The acoustic sounds aren't great, (very harsh), but there's a certain airy quality from the hollow body and I'm trying to decide what to put in it to turn it back into an ordinary thinline Tele.

Very nice love Tele's too. I had a limited George Harrison rosewood that I modified with Duncan quarter pounders that screamed!...but it was a heavy beast. You have a nice set there; bet they sound awesome. What do you run them thru?

I actually have this magazine with his son holding the rose tele; it's a great pic I bought just for the cover alone!

Fender made a run of these in the early ninties. Mine was beautiful with a sweet tweed case. I sold it because I was goin' to South America and needed the coin. I'll try to find and put up a picture of mine. They had a sheet of maple sandwiched between the the top and back; it was heavy but man it sounded great. It did not have any labeling or signature but was sold as the George Harrison model/reissue after the original one he played. http://www.elderly.com/fmic/items/FCSLRT.htm
He was my favorite Beatle; always searching and his music transcended the pop of the Beatles imho.

Loves me some Teles! Have had a bunch of them over the years and now have ended up with two I made from Warmoth parts - Glendale bridge and compensated 3 piece saddles, SD Antiquity II pickups. Total honkage. One has a carved top body (like a Les Paul), and an American Std. Strat trem, two single coil pickups. I call it the *******Caster. With no bridge plate (strat trem) the bridge pickup really screams. I mean REALLY screams. Have it wired with a 5 way switch and a tone/volume bypass. Totally perfect guitar for me.

Sorry - ******** word begins with a "B" and refers to someone born to parents out of wedlock. I'm really trying to work on my inappropriate behavior and language....

I'm a strat guy, but I've been bitted by the Tele bug (Probably because I've been doing less blues since I started playing, and more of.. everything else) and am real tempted to cross over lately. As soon as I can decide on a colour config, I might look into grabbing one. GAS is making it hard to decide on just one
