DPA / Clip-on mic users
Is anyone actively using a mic like the DPA? I am interested in using one to livestream but I’m wondering if the clamp may leave marks on my guitar.

I have the dpa 4099/d:vote and use it occasionally. We have several at the theatre where I work (and where we are looking forward to having live artists again sometime in the future...). They don’t leave marks, just make sure it clamps on sufficiently to stay stable but not so hard you dent the finish (this is very unlikely!).

I owned one for a while. Worked well. No marks.

No marks, but the clamp did not hold the mic in place, fell down to the ground.

I have one, I used to use it a lot, but don't these days. And yes, I have several guitars with the dents to prove it... The clamp seems good at first, but tends to come off, leading to efforts to clamp it tighter, leading to small indentations. James Taylor's solution (as seen on his One Man Band DVD) was duct tape.
