Default Amazing Slow Downer Alternative

So my hard drive crashed and I lost my licensed copy of ASD by ronimusic purchased through reseller MyCommerce. The reseller said they can't help me. The email I have for ronimusic appears to be a dead end as well. So I guess I'm out the $50 USD and the app.

What I really liked ASD is that it is a simple to use, stripped down basic utility to play and slow down music files. No click tracks, no play along features or other bells and whistles. I've had it less than a year, so I'm reluctant to shell out another fifty bucks before first exploring other alternatives.

Recommendations?

I like Anytune. I have never used ASD, so I can't offer a comparison. Anytune is available for Mac OS, iOS, and Android. They Windows is coming soon.

Good luck.

Amazing Slowdowner is available at the google play store for Android. As far as I am concerned, it is even easier to use on a tablet and I find myself using it all the time.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....ronimusic.asd

I think the full version is $4.99. You can download it and try it for free as I recall. I have had it for some time now, so the details of purchase/free may be a bit fuzzy. I have never had a problem with it.

My tablet is a Samsung S7 and ASD seems well designed for touch screen with controls easily large enough for finger use - so much better than having to use a mouse!

What do you mean by "The email I have for ronimusic appears to be a dead end as well" ? The email address is no longer valid or he simply won't respond to your request? I've used ASD for about 15 years or so and I've had to re-install it on a new hard drive several times. Whenever I've contacted him he's been quite helpful. Having said that I just checked his web site and it appears the company is no longer in business, so unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a good solution here.

Actually, let me rephrase. I googled Ronimusic and the Google listing said it was permanently closed. The website did not indicate that, so I'm not sure what the situation is.

I do have an iPad and I see ASD is available for 14.95. Also a couple of pals who use Anytune give it high marks. Off to YouTube to look at reviews. Thank you for the suggestions!

I dealt with the owner once, trying to buy a license I found him very nasty and difficult to deal with.

So, I just keep using my free trial version which suits my needs.

I've been using Transcribe! for years. It's excellent, and has many features that will help you learn from audio or video files. Never had any problems with it.

I find VLC media player (totally free) useful for my needs. In fact I just used it today to learn the lead licks at the end of Dear Prudence.

Music Speed Changer is free if you don't mind the adds, changes tempo key and loops sections.
