Had one. The limited edition (five made) in nylon. the guitar is quite distinct, very beautiful, and a serious instrument. Do you have the opportunity to try the guitar before purchase? I think that's important with any guitar. We all bond with different scales, nut widths, neck shapes and electronics.

Hi Syd2aussie,
I own a Blackbird Super OM. It is a great sounding and playing guitar. It is a little on the large side for me but I do enjoy it.

I have only ever played one Super OM at a festival booth, but it was quite nice. I was looking for something smaller than the GA body size at that time, and bought a Lucky 13 instead. LA Guitar Sales still has one in stock, even though they are now out of production. Blackbird moved to all eKoa a few years ago and don't make any CF guitars or ukes these days. https://www.laguitarsales.com/index....nics-1747.html

I have one. I think it's very impressive. Most folks who see it at first think WTF? But once they hear it, they're blown away.

And now the Super OM is gone from LA Guitars.... “out of stock”. Did someone here grab it?

Earl; I had the same question. Whoever got it got a fairly rare instrument. I had the limited edition (5) Super Om nylon strings, but the steel string instruments are scarce enough to have value a unique instrument.

Default Super OM

Thanks for all your input. I ended up purchasing one on Reverb. Great guiitar. Very good condition - electronics need some contact spray, and the nut needed better slots, but very fun to play. Surprisingly good sound with great sustain. Tom

Default Blackbird super om

A postscript to my last post:
I just purchased a Lowden fan fret so must sell the Blackbird to help finance. Any interest in this thread? Tom
