1964 Martin 0-16NY (sale pending)

Here's a great Martin 0-16 New Yorker. These were built very lightly and are resonant and rich guitars. It takes only a slight touch to get this top moving.

This one is structurally great, with a little finish checking and play wear, but no cracks. The finish is not the original satin finish, so it's an amazing sounding players-grade guitar. The following notes on condition and repairs, per the previous owner:



"This Martin 0-16 NY was dropped off at my guitar shop for extensive repair work that the customer never went through with. The guitar has received the following work to bring it to prime player condition; neck re-set w/hide glue, new Brazilian rosewood bridge with non-cut through saddle w/hide glue, new bone nut & compensated 1/8"saddle, re-fretted with Med #74 Nickel/Silver, New Ebony Bridge Pins, New Golden Age Chrome Restoration Tuners, and a New Rosewood End Pin. Along with all repairs the entire guitar has had its nitro cellulose finish re-melted with butyl-cello-solve to prolong the original finish, also to eliminate "most" of the weather checking and signs of abuse. There are some visible signs of use, but all in all a perfect guitar for a player not necessarily a collectors item. This guitar is also being sold with its original Geib style case."
