Default 10,000 Reasons - Matt Redman

Fun thing about this was that we got the notice last night about 8 o’clock that we needed to play because the scheduled soloist had no voice. So having never played this song we picked it anyway, practiced it twice this morning before the service, and let ‘er rip.

Hi David…

Nicely done and sung in tune as well…

Tasty little lick you tossed in there a few times…

Larry's songs...

…Just because you've argued someone into silence doesn't mean you have convinced them…

I would never have guessed this wasn't a standard tune in your repertoire. Sounded great!

Matt Redman is such a prolific and heartfelt writer, especially when paired with Chris Tomlin.

Thanks, Larry. Ronnie does a good job of singing and I do a good job of making like I'm singing harmony.

I love that little lick that, on the original, is done with a mandolin but Ronnie wanted two guitars and I wanted the lick, so we compromised. Fun stuff.

Thanks! We wanted to do it a couple of years ago but the Worship Leader we had at the time bought an arrangement for the choir and we pushed it to the back burner. So far back that we forgot about it so we figured it was time - pleased with how it came out no more than we worked on it. But you're right about Matt Redman and Chris Tomlin - they write some amazing songs.
