Just bumping my question. Would a Travis Bean style headstock have the same impact as a slotted headstock?

Never mind, I thought you mentioned the sustain came from the lightweight headstock. Closer inspection said it didn't come from the lightweight headstock.

Art Tour
I will be participating in the Monadnock Art Tour this year. Each autumn (during peak fall colors) local artists open their studios to the public. Here is a link to the site: http://www.monadnockart.org/index.php/art-tour
Here is a link to the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/MonadnockArt You'll notice one of my unfinished Greta models is featured on the header! This is a great time/place to spend a weekend. There will be 50 artists opening their studios and you will be amazed at the richness of talent and diversity of mediums going on here in Southern NH! I hope to see you at my studio! Mark

Wonderful, Mark, and tasteful playing by Mr. Neverisky.
May I ask if you EQ'd or processed in any other way?

Thanks kritterkreation!
Although this guitar has just been strung up for the first time I am very happy with the sound already. It already has a bit of that BRW reverb. Thanks ukejon! Sorry you didn't get a chance to try this one out when you were out to the shop. I just didn't have it strung up yet. Quote:
These song clips are recorded flat. I am using 2 Rode NT1 mics connected to my Canon 6D. Thanks again! Mark

Well Mark, I haven't got a thing done this afternoon..work wise..but I have been on cloud nine since I picked the first note. To say I'm pleased is an understatement..what an instrument..I know it's a Josie model..but it is without a doubt a Joseph...Thank you for all your effort in making this the guitar of my dreams....

It was a pleasure working with you on Joseph! There are some new design elements you requested that I am sure I'll be doing on future guitars, like the sunburst neck that color matches to the body and more detail work on the end graft. Thanks! Mark

Strap Button
I'm wrapping up a Greta Indian Rosewood guitar to ship soon and got into front strap position options. I recommend putting it on the side of the heel as opposed to the front. Here are a couple pictures of what I'm talking about with the button held with a piece of tape:
I can think of several reasons this is my preference: When playing way up the neck the strap button tends to fall into the hollow of my palm. When it is on the front it tends to hit the side of my hand The strap stays on more securely It's easier to button up the strap while standing If you prefer it up front, is it because of looks or what other reason? Thanks, Mark

I actually like the side as well. Reason being, the strap is less likely to come off the button (in my experience anyway).
