[QUOTE=roscoe2311;7184567]Hello everyone, I'm a bit nervous since this is my first real post. This is my cover of Al Petteway's Land of the Sky song. He's my favorite guitarist and a huge inspiration. I recently got this Tippin guitar and it feels right at home in DADGAD. I basically learned how to use a thumb pick just to play this song. I hope I did the song justice, thanks so much for your time!

HI Roscoe,
This is simply beautiful.
Your guitar playing is lovely, and you did the song full justice.
For somebody just learning the thumbtack, this playing is fabulous.
Welcome to the forum!!!!
Rene

Thanks so much for the kind words! Until this song I had almost always done hybrid picking, but this song was the first time I felt the limitations of that technique. It was really awkward at first with the thumb pick because the pick sticks out a lot more than I would have expected. And since I have no usable nails, I couldn't get enough volume with just my thumb. I got used to it faster than I anticipated though!

Thank you again!
