Juston,

I'm worried about you, my sort of friend. You keep acquiring these sub par guitars. Circas, Brondels, Fairbanks, etc.

I think that your only hope is to slap a pickup in one of those, uh, guitars, buy a good amp, say a Humphrey, and hope for the best.

Have you considered buying a Humphrey? Expensive, yes, but cheaper than a decent guitar. Not that you'd know a decent guitar if you stumbled over one.

Loved the Circa and Brondel you brought to BIG.

I'm sure my wife will be pleased.

"You know how I play the same 30 songs all the time?"

"Uhhhh, yeah. Ugh."

"Well, now I'm going to amplify them so they're even louder than before!"

"(Please kill me now.)"

This is going to be a great guitar. I've never built with pernambuco myself, but I've played a few, and it is very BRW-like. Add the MajicFingers Of Laurent (tm)to the mix, and it has got to be dynamite!

I like a Humphrey a lot~ I think it is by far the best amp for acoustics out there.

However, what about a decent MIC for recording work on your splendid collection and possibly Youtube videos~

It's like a cross between Brazilian, maple, mahogany, wedge, and cinnamon. With a twist of lemon. It has sustain for days and perfect note separation and clarity. Super loud but also whisper quiet.

Yes, that is on my list. The problem for me is finding the time to record.

So I think Laurent sets the standard for playability (for me). I love his neck profiles and, in particular, his fret work. He's a human Plek. The detail on the fret ends is gorgeous and seamless. I also happen to really favor the 55090 fret wire.

Looks to be a special guitar, Juston.

Looking forward to your review!

Really cool color choice and pattern in that pickguard. Perfect for this guitar IMO.

Looks like it is ready for action. Laurent won't be displaying this guitar at Artisan since it's already sold, but it'll be available for anyone to play.

Oh yea! I am totally playing that one. Don’t worry Justin, belt off, no metal buttons, wash hands, and bare fingers only.

Oh, don't worry about all that stuff. I'm not super uptight about other people playing my guitar. I figure anyone on this forum is going to be pretty conscientious. This is the belt buckle I wear to every guitar show. Seriously . . .
