Thoughts on changing gotoh tuners
Considering changing my gotoh tuners on my emerald guitar to a different color (same tuner). Do you guys forsee any ill consequence to this such as from removing screws, etc?

no different than removing the truss rod cover to make adjustments and then put it back on (on a RainSong anyway- don’t believe Emeralds have one). You will be fine as long as you keep specs/ model number the same.

It'll be a simple swap if you get the same ones. Those stock tuners are pretty sweet though.

Thanks! I'm thinking of swapping the gold tuners from my x10 onto my x30.

I put Goto locking tuners on my X7 - no problem at all. Screws come out, then they go back in. As with wood, I guess if you over tighten them you could strip the material out of the hole, but they don't need to be all that tight - they don't hold the tuner in - they just keep it from turning.
