I think Bonnie Raitt has some really good stuff, but my current favorite is Susan Tedeschi. Not that flashy of a player, but I really like here. She is married to Derek Trucks.

It depends on the type of music, but Bonnie Raitt would probably get my vote anyway. However, if you like acoustic blues, Rory Block is also a must-hear.

I have to agree with Jim and say Muriel Anderson. Although, growing up when I was in my Eddie Van Halen stage I was pretty impressed with Jennifer Batten.

Bonnie Raitt, Muriel Anderson, Vicki Genfan, Shredmistress Rynata (guilty metal pleasure ). There is also an amazing local fingerstylist here named Micki Croisant (serious challenger for the title of Captain Capo). And anyone remember Ellen McIlwaine and a marvelous blues guitarist named Betsy Kaske, from Rockford, IL?
