Sorry, but never heard of that model.

Care to share where you located this particular model?

I've never played or owned a DSTG. There are several for sale on Reverb. From the Reverb pictures, it looks like a nice guitar, similar to a D18. I'm not a fan of the tortoise-style headplate on the DSTG - I prefer the traditional rosewood. And it has the small enclosed tuners, which are generally used on the less expensive Martins. I used to own a MMV that had those same gold tuners. The DSTG seems a bit pricey for sapele, which you see more in less expensive instruments. It's probably a good sounding guitar, but for about the same money, you could probably get a good used D18, D28 or D35.

Default ok

not worried as i got the best deal in town on it and its a 9.5 out of 10 on condition with not a blemish
I can throw a set of good tuners on for less than a $100

The other guitars except D18 dont have a 1 and 3/4 nut which was a deal breaker

It appears in some ways to be on par with the now discontinued SWDGT. The immediate differences would be the back and side and fingerboard materials.

Looks like a nice instrument. I’d love to hear it!

You can definitely upgrade the tuners for less than $100. The stock ones are OK, but there are better ones available.

At the right price, the DSTG would be a good purchase. I would guess that it sounds similar to a D18. And I like the "striped" look of the sapele, as well as the back inlay.
