Does Martin have the lifetime limited warranty for these the X series guitars?

I'm gonna have to test run one..

I need a new 12!!!
My x series came with a limited liftetime warranty. When I registered, they sent a owners card, a letter telling me about my lifetime warranty, and a little booklet with info about the company.

Martin X series acoustic guitars sound warm with good basses, but trebles are a bit muddy in my opinion and they are not very loud. More over, I really think that for 400 to 600 dollars you can buy awesome guitars from Blueridge, Seagull, Recording King, Alvarez and others. Also, because they have a solid wood top, I do not think that they are so impervious to humidity changes.

The bottom line is they are a quality guitar at a reasonable price point for what you get. But they use non traditional materials to build them so that's what some people have a problem with.

I suggest that if people are interested in one don't compare it to any other Martin. Evaluate it on it's own merits and decide if one wants one. I'm going to check out the 000x, as I stated previously in a couple of weeks when I go to KC. Hopefully they will have one.
Well said!!!

It isn't necessarily better but it is different.

The X series has it's place and as the industry moves away for wood construction, I'm sure that these instruments will get even better.

Rainsong and other composite guitars are good examples of this.

Those of us that are purists will probably never convert to the different tone that non wood guitars offer.
Tonewoods are not rare . Not even close .
The industry is not moving away from wood from wood construction .
I have a 000XHippieL and like it very much .
No , it does not sound like a D45 , but it sure sounds good enough .
Hint , it responds well to drop D tuning and also makes one heck of an old style blues box .

This was exactly my experience with one of the very 1st DXM's here in Australia.
The water-slide rosette decal broke up a little but otherwise it did everything a good entry-level guitar should do.

To resurrect an old thread...

I have been playing a custom X dread i purchased new at GC for a year now. Most comments i have been reading are negative concerning this series - being plywood, Formica or whatever. My personal take on this series is nothing but positive. The cost of this guitar and the sound it produces is incredible for the cost. And now i am gassing for a standard series martin. The name on the head stock does mean something and i think this series is a gateway for a player like me to eventually purchase a "real" Nazareth made Martin. Offering this model/series (at least for me) has sparked my interest in the brand and I will definitely be purchasing a D28 in the future. Of course my X will become a great beater/road guitar.
