I have to thank the previous owner for that. He didn't like the Eastman saddle so he had Bob make him a new one and a set of pins. Then he gave me an incredible price on a basically new guitar. Many thanks to him! When he told me he'd put in a new saddle I wondered for a minute until he told me he got it from Bob and then I considered it a bonus!
I like the guitar although I'm sure some folks would hate it because of how big the neck is. I measured nut width at 1.8 and it's a very thick C shape. Much bigger than the E10D-TC I had. |

Bone. That's what it comes with, it's just better compensated. I would just stick with bone. That's what all the best instruments come with.

I also forgot to mention that Eastman dreadnoughts come with light gauge strings. The previous owner set it up for mediums and I believe that's part of the reason I prefer the sound of this one. The E10D-TC I had came with a super tall saddle and I was too scared to use mediums for fear of cracking the bridge. With this guitar, the saddle is still tall but not 5mm tall. I'm a dreadnought player and I'm used to the feel and sound of mediums and I think it really helps this guitar.

Nice. Yeah, I'm super stoked to play that E2D. Seems like a great guitar, especially for the price. I hear nothing but great things about it.

That's what I used on my OM when I had it.

How did you like the bluegrass strings in comparison to the other strings? Liked it better or no?
