This x2.
There's really not to much from a visual standpoint that would drive me away from a nice sounding guitar. Things I'd prefer not to have would be:
but none of these would (or has in some cases) deter me from buying a guitar with exceptional tone.

None. If if it sounds good, and plays good that's all that matters to me.

Sunburst finish
Dred (although I own 4 but wouldn't buy another) Headstock you could paddle a canoe with. But if I liked the sound and playability I might wilt. |

As much as I detest certain design choices, for the most part, I could be swayed by most if the playability/neck and sound were there. That being said, I lean more towards "vintage" appointments, so it's doubtful I'd even take it down from the rack to try if it didn't appeal to me visually.

IF the guitar "FITs: then Play it
with That said, I am drawn to deep low end so I tend to stay away from small body guitars. But I have been impressed with some of the OMs i have been checking out. Still, Dreads are kinda of my go to guitars.

The only absolute deal breaker for me is under saddle pu. Everything else is negotiable as long as the sound is what I'm looking for.

I won't buy anything with a flat, skinny neck and/or tight string spacing, so basically any of the standard models from the big two, Taylor and Martin. 2 1/4" spacing at the bridge is the spec I prefer. 2 10/32" is also okay. Modified V shapes are best.

1. Ivoroid binding
2. Richlite fretboard 3. sunburst finishes 4. cutaways on a dread 5. plastic bridge pins As a general rule, the less bling the better. I want to see the wood, not hummingbirds.

But the question is "What design aspect stops you from considering an Acoustic Guitar?"
This is obviously a thread about the frivolous, superficial things we notice, with the implication that these things affect us no matter how good the guitar sounds.

I am not a big fan of ivoroid or white plastic binding of any sort.
I do not like large, blocky MOP inlays on the fretboard Long narrow paddle headstocks ala Seagull or Traugott I am picky about both pick guards and sunbursts - only a few I’ve seen that I actually like Tone is the ultimate decider but so many good choices out there that you can usually get what you want. I don’t prefer:
Barn-door electronics (own two with ‘em) Laminates (one of my favourites has laminated sides) Under-saddle pickups (all three of my main guitars have ‘em) Narrow-string spacing (two have this) I guess nothing’s a deal-breaker with me.
