There are quite a few good ones, but my favorite is Michael Watts. He often plays beautiful guitars and he always plays beautiful music. And his playing is so wonderful I always listen all the way through.

As a side note, Michael Watts will be appearing and doing a workshop and playing a concert at my guitar event in March (B.I.G.). There is a thread in the custom forum with all the details, but I do have spots for a few more folks if interested. Tom

Mick & Pete from Andertons! Haven’t seen Mick for quite sometime already. Their chemistry is awesome! Their guitars skills are great too!

I like Joel from Chicago music exchange. He mostly does electrics, but I love his playing style. He did one demo of a Martin D18 with factory gold foils through a tone king imperial, one of the coolest things I’ve ever heard.

Mick also co-presents 'That Pedal Show', which is basically electric guitars, amps and effects. He gets around!

Yep, Chicago Music Exchange is a "go to" for me, Norm's Rare Guitars is still one of my favourites, Matt from Eddie's Guitars (great fingerstyle) and the guys from Andertons are all my favourites.

We all have our own tastes etc., and these tend to be the ones I go to occasionally:

You're right, Brian Renkins' presentations were great, with beautiful playing, and very informative. A shame he doesn't do demos anymore.

I like videos from the music emporium near Boston. You never know who’s gonna show up and play.. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=C0OpnIimLDA Last edited by varmonter; 01-27-2019 at 06:36 AM. |

I always loved (and miss) Brian Rankins' reviews. Happy to see a few fans here. His playing was so lovely and he could adjust his playing to showcase the guitar. These were simple reviews in a corner of a shop but his sincerity shines through.

“All of the above” would be my answer and in addition to Silly Moustache I would add AGF’er Gary Roberts, and also Chris at Alamo Music. I also enjoy the two guys at Music Villa (Acoustic Letter).

My favorite video presentations are made by The North American Guitar, Eddies Guitars and The Music Emporium. There are many outstanding players and videos available on line, but I always find the videos produced by these 3 dealers showcase the guitars rather than the player, so I get a good sense of what the guitars sound like. Gregg from Wildwood is amazing, one of the best players, but I listen to him and only dream I could do that with a guitar.
