And youll be a better player for it.
I’d say a neck reset would make a guitar sound better. A great set-up would make a guitar sound better. A re-fret would make a guitar sound better.

Many things can make a guitar sound better, including practicing more.

The ONLY way to determine it's plus (or minus) is record a guitar (with new strings, same brand) and then tonerite the guitar, replace the strings and record it again, using the same mic, same room, same everything.
Anything else is silly
That's my only complaint about a ToneRite. They will wear out a set of strings in a heart beat.

As somebody who holds the view that bridge pins can affect tone, I’m willing to believe that shuffling the molecules can also do something.

But - even if it was proved beyond doubt that it works - I just couldn’t be bothered to be hooking my guitar up to the electric. It all just seems like too much of a fuss.

I love my ToneRight. I use it on all my acoustics, but not constantly. I wouldn't say the affect "wears off" though. If you have a lot of guitars that don't get played then it's a good way to sort of wake them up and loosen the (dead) wood fibers that may have settled from sitting in a case. I also use it every time I have something done like a new saddle or nut to 'buzz' it into its seat thoroughly. Tonally I notice the sound a little more open and airy after treatment as opposed to darker and compressed sounding. I will admit it is subtle though. If you play the same guitar most of the time, it's probably less valuable b/c playing it does the same thing.
