Default Bose S1 Pro Sale PSA

Just a heads up - for anyone who is thinking about adding an S1Pro (without battery), they are on sale for $150 off at Sweetwater and Bose Direct. The battery included version is not on sale though. The battery pack runs $100, so you could still in essence save $200 over the $699 price of the bundled version!

More likely they're trying to move inventory that's been sitting around for a long time. The demand for S1s without the battery must have fallen off a cliff when they backed away from their earlier strategy of the baseline S1 requiring the additional investment in the battery.

Great head's up, Mak! Those non-equipped S1s must be taking up lots of warehouse space for this offer!

That’s not only a Sweetwater deal. I bought two of them a few days ago from Thomann Germany. As Mike pointed out, we can add a battery later on and still save some money.

so yea, I jumped all over this.

as I was in need of a second one.. have some gigs coming up, and the current setup was a Loudbox Artist and an S1

The S1 really sounds so much better than the Loudbox when I use if off my sound board.

If you add a Jackery Power Station, you don't need to get the Bose Battery.
The Jackery is nice because it powers many other devices and isn't limited to the PA.

I'm in the same spot with my LB Artist so suspect they'll be showing up used more often soon!

It might be due to a new model, but if so, wouldn't the battery version be on sale too - since they are the same main unit? If it is a new model, maybe they are going to go like the Fishman Loudbox mini series; make the cheaper version a non-battery capable unit and the step up model like the Loudbox Charge? Just a thought.

I think, there is a huge lack in batteries right now but Bose still wants to sell some units to keep the production running.

^^^^^This may be the real reason.

The batteries are out of stock on the Bose.com website, but there are S1s with batteries in stock.

Default Bass on S1

How does this handle low end? I like looping with octave down.
