https://www.sweetwater.com/store/det...12-pack-1.20mm

Prefer the sound and feel of the material in 1.20mm thickness. I always hold my pick basically upside down... so string contact is made with a rounded edge of the pick; not the point. I find it gives a fuller, more even contact sound and maximizes handling/control..

+1

Price varies a bit by color and thickness, but only around 15 cents each when buying pack of 144.
I share em with friends and students.

I wish, I could stay with one pick but I can’t.

My Martin D-18 likes the Dunlop Ultex 1.14 or a Hense Casein, also a Taylor 1.5 (not sure about the type)
My SJ-200 likes Dunlop Nylon 1.0 or 1.14 on 80/20 strings.
Hummingbirds is flexible (Nylon, Taylor, Hense) with Phosphor Bronce

I also like Primetones 1.3 or 1.5 mm.
And I have a few Wegen Bluegrass picks that I like ... sometimes.
I have only one Bluechip and while I like the material, I don’t like the shape. Bought the wrong one.

and so on ... and on and on ....

Also it depends on the type and age of the strings. And on my ears ... they hear different things all the time.

Blue Chip TAD40. They've been my favorite for a few years.

These - haven't changed in, probably, 20 years. Tried a few of the super duper thick expensive things and they didn't work any better than what I have so, why change?

Fred Kelly for Chet/Merle - Tele and 000-18
205 for jazz - usually another Tele with flats
1.14 Dunlop for flatpicking - 000-18
Fender 358 heavy for Telecaster

Don't use a pick on Brook Torridge - skin only.

Occasionally 1.2mm Pickboy Classics that I put some bevels on.

Ditto on the primetone 1.3 (smooth). Also Wegen triangles from time to time.

1.00mm Pickboy Carbon Nylon has been my favorite pick for the past few months.

My fingers/nails are my go-to for both strumming and picking.

When I use a pick, I usually reach for a Dunlop Primetone or a good old Fender medium in the classic tortoise-color celluloid.

I really like the feel and sound of Dunlop Ultex .73mm picks. The 1.0's are good too, but I really like the action of the .73.

I'm currently learning classical style by way of fingerpicking, so I don't use pics much right now unless I'm simply practicing my chords and arpeggios.

With the dry skin of a 70-year-old, and although I love my Charmed Life and Blue Ridge Vespel (Brown) picks, I've come to embrace Guitar Moose Stickygrip picks in both their Classic and Carbon Fiber formulas!
