New Doodad Day: Thalia custom TRC
So, I don't have any connection to either of these companies. But... recently I became a live-in 24/7 caregiver for my 99 year old mother, which is only relevant because I generally tend to fiddle around with my guitars to relieve stress.
So, my Taylor AD-17 Blacktop now has a new truss rod cover from Thalia. I picked theirs because it is made from a cross-grain laminate, and that should help to minimize cracks when accidentally over tightening screws. Imagine my delight to see the grain aligns with the headstock grain, and the finish is a compatible satin. There were several inlay choices, but this one echoes the small dots on my fretboard. Okay, so there is no difference in guitar tone... but I do like this TONS better than the stock plastic one! Anybody else have a favorite TRC to show off?
