My GAD-30Re is a lot of guitar for the $. I agree that if not at the top it's very close to it in Pacific Rim built guitars.

There are a fair number of folks who like the GAD series better than the current Westerly series.

If you look at the price of used GADs, they've been creeping up so that some of the asking prices I'm seeing are what they cost new. I've had a few Westerly Series in my shop, and played a few in stores, and my experience is that they are a bit spotty... some are really good and some not so much. I have a GAD 25 that gives up very little to my US made Guilds, and is in fact a better sounding guitar than a '72 D35 I used to have. Every GAD I've had in my shop or that I've played has been excellent. Some of the best values out there IMO.
