I’d argue that for a case to do its job, it can’t fall apart while you use it reasonably...

What ever happened to people being responsible for their equipment and handling minor repairs? Cases are supposed to get damaged - then you repair it- or not. Owner's choice. A seam starting to come loose isn't a case falling apart.

My TP case lasted about 25 years before it started to crack and fall apart.
I replaced it a few years ago with a more standard type case.
I never liked the lack of storage space that the TP case had.
