Default NGD: Martin John Prine D-28

I hope used counts for an NGD post. Brought this guitar home yesterday. Still in disbelief!! Thanks to a lead to this beauty, it was posted for sale right here on AGF! About 72 hours later I am happy to say I am the proud owner a gently used Martin John Prine D-28. Tweed case and all!!

Purchased from an all around great guy, Bill Covington. Owner of The Fretted Buffalo, a unique acoustic guitar shop In Buffalo, New York. Thank you for an excellent buying experience. Can’t tell you how much I appreciate it!!

I couldn’t be happier. Thanks to everyone for all of the advice and insight re my original post. It is all put away for when I get back on track for the search for that official retirement gift to me lol.

Happy strummin’ [emoji4]

I got to play that while Bill had it in the shop. It's a great guitar, and Bill is wonderful to deal with.

Congrats! Bill gets a lot of compliments here. I'm looking forward to driving up to his shop when its time to pick out my retirement present in a couple/three years.

Congrats! Looks fantastic. What's the biggest difference between the standard D-28 and the Prine?

I think that those were made with Engelmann spruce and Madagascar rosewood which can make for a very sweet and rich tone. Congratulations.

Best,

It most certainly does! In my little stable 2 out of 5 were purchased used.

Congrats on the beautiful (and I'm sure it sounds great) guitar.
