Default Question for Taylor 326e bari owners

Have any of you replaced the micarta saddle with bone, and did it make a difference in the way your strings sound? The F# (2nd) string in particular. I don't mind the way the rest of my strings sound with the micarta, but the F# just sounds tinny to my hearing. Thanks...

That's not what I would expect from micarta. Is the string binding in the nut slot? Ball-end seated improperly? String winding getting hung up in the pin slot? Saddle bottom flush with the bridge slot?

Bax, he replaced the micarta with bone, but I'd agree it sounds like a nut or pin seating issue.

To the OP, I have the eight string version of your LTD. I left the saddle alone and can't answer directly, but I suspect that Bax may be right.
