I have one of these...if you are looking for a total bluegrass cannon!!!...this is it...when I took it to my Bluegrass jam...it stopped the jam....simply loud and proud to be a Martin!!!!!...(did I say LOUD???!!!!)

If I did not already have an OM-28 Authentic 1931 and other Martin dreadnaughts, I would have grabbed this one. I was able to play this in Honolulu, and it is an exceptional-sounding deep-throated Martin that will please rosewood-loving dreadnaught aficionados. In person, the spruce top is evenly spaced with beautiful grain, and the Madagascar wood selected for the back and sides are equally beautiful.
Alan is an upstanding, honest individual whom I have purchased several guitars from. He is a great guy!

Yes Rob this is a cannon.
in fact a howitzer is more like it.

and yet it can be played very lightly. the torrefied top picks up the lightest touch.
