Default Used carbon fiber instruments

Is there a place online that usually has a good selection of used CF guitars? Everywhere I'm looking is usually new. Where do you all browse for 2nd hand instruments from the likes of CA, Emerald, Blackbird, etc...? Is it just AGF?

Also, what is the consensus on which brand sounds most like a traditional wooden guitar?

Thanks!

There is no good selection of used CF guitars, hit or miss. Ted at LAGuitars has them, the Carbon Guitar Forum has a used for sale area. Ebay. I don't think there is a consensus on which ones are most like wood, several years ago that would have been CA, they braced their guitars to emulate wood. Any more the other makers are close as well. As with most guitar its up to your ears. Currently my most wood sounding guitar is my Emerald Doubleneck. All the makers make very good guitars, that makes it difficult but the search is rewarding and fun.

You'll find some good deals right now here. They come up fairly often at this location.

It is telling that there are relatively few used carbon fiber guitars around the market. Most people tend to keep them. My WS-1000 will be the last one in the collection to go, and that will be after I am gone.

I got really good deals from Musician's Friend for both my Rainsongs.

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/rainsong--used

I called and was able get them even cheaper than the listed price.

Since Musicians Friend doesn't buy used guitars I wonder where these used guitars are coming from.

I guess I'm not sure what this statement means.. but I can say that the two Rainsongs I purchased from them were in almost mint condition and had for a price way below what was listed as 'used'.

It's more of a question really. Are these guitars ones that have been on too many 30-day trials? I see they no longer offer a 30-day trial on guitars priced over $1999 which could mean it was becoming a problem.

Nothing against Musicians Friend/Guitar Center, I was just curious.

Artisan Guitars has two Composite Acoustics right now in their "Pre-Owned" section. I haven't seen a huge market for them, so I don't think the used market is going to be very large either. Can't imagine parting with mine. Good luck finding what you're looking for.
