Default Fairbanks.

Hi. I have a Fairbanks Nick Lucas. Previously owned by Richard Shindell.

$3,850. Well played as it was one of his main touring guitars but excellent structural condition and playability.

Sunburst. Adi over mahogany. Pure Mini pickup.

I'd love to compare a Fairbanks with my Santa Cruz Roy Smeck ... or maybe I wouldn't!

They look great, but , I don't think the Fairbanks makes dreadnoughts, and dreads don't usually come in short scale.

Might it be the Gibsonesque Jumbo like his F35 style shapes that you seek?

Yes you are right. I should have said Jumbo... the F-35, F-45, or even the SJ are in my hunt..

If I may be so bold, Catfish Keith (a Fairbanks dealer) has a slot for Dale to be completed in November. You could commission whatever you want and get it in a couple of months.

I take delivery of a used Fairbanks Smeck tomorrow from TNAG. Dropped lucky, I phoned up Monday and one had just come in! It was me who asked you, if you could post a video of your guitars being fingerpicked. The search is over!
Sorry ti hijack the thread! Good luck in your search.
