I have played it a couple of times, it really surprised me. When you first see it, you're inclined to think "gimmick". But then when you strum that first chord, your thoughts change to what is going on here! It was more resonant with deeper bass (compared to the CO-WS1000N2) and the 12 fret neck felt great on the WS body. I thought at first that what i was hearing may be due to the closer proximity of the sound hole to my ears, but after playing it while moving the sound hole further away from me, I really don't think so. It is a WONDERFUL sounding and playing guitar. And the looks really grew on me to be very attractive. I'm sure the "traditionalists" won't give it a second look or even play it. That's too bad, because they will be missing out on something that is pretty special. It's one of those that I can't get out of my mind, and even though my CO-WS1000N2 is a great guitar that I thought would be around a long while, I may have to part with it in order to get a WS1005NS. I feel like a traitor even thinking about letting it go! I'll be talking to the local dealer this week. I highly recommend giving it a go if you can!! I would be very interested in others opinions.

They are so new there isn't much online out about them yet. Maybe somebody will post some videos or soundbytes of the thing. I definately don't care for the looks but can appreciate a great sounding guitar as much as the next guy. If it was good enough I imagine I'd find a way to start liking the way it looks too.

No offense to Rainsong, I feel the same way about McPherson's even though I have no doubt they are some of the most quality built guitars around.

I felt the same way about Boulder Creek. Just can't get used to the odd soundholes.

I want one, but I bought 2 guitars in two months. Only so far I can push the wife on this one and sleep with both eyes closed....

Haven't played one myself. But they sure do look nice. And yes, someone needs to post some soundclips and/or video of it.

People said the same thing about the Tacomas with the offset soundhole but they sounded pretty good as well.

One of these in a 12-string, but with the clear finish so I can see the pretty carbon weave...

After playing the offset some more, I still really like it, but the bass is pretty heavy, the WS1000 is actually better balanced I think. At least that day. LOL
