So in a nut-shell, all the neck relief values that people have used for decades are all wrong. Generally I see neck relief values of 0.004 - 0.008". But 1/6 the action is going to give neck relief of 0.010 - 0.018".

I think it depends on playing style. For a rhythm player who never ventures up the fretboard, that works. But as you start working up the neck, more relief means higher action sooner up the fret board... lower relief means more linear action up the fretboard.

I'm working on a guitar currently, I'll keep this in mind. I'd rather not mess with the relief unless I really need to. Maybe this will give me an excuse to leave it alone
