Default Would you like to see my guitar? Huss & Dalton

This is my go-to guitar.

I don't know if the MOP buttons will display as pretty as I see them, but that is just one of several sweet details on this fine tone machine.

It's a Huss & Dalton, CM, Engleman Spruce Top, Rosewood sides and back, sorry I forget what the neck is. Tuners are labeled Huss & Dalton - I don't know who actually makes them. Never thought to ask before now.

It has an ugly case of clip rash on the headstock. I am not thinking that is 'home repair' for me, and plan to leave it with my fixit guy while I'm on vacation with my Voyage-air in a few weeks.

Anyhow, enjoy the show, and one of these days I'll get a decent recording to share with you.

Looks lovely to me, Amy... that's great! H&D builds an outstanding guitar. I'm the proud owner of an H&D 0 and 00... loud, rich, resonant and gorgeous.

Did you just get it? Wonderful guitars...

The finish is very shiny and I can't get a back shot without all kinds of reflections so I just got a few segments to show the binding.

I like the invisible pick guard.

Anyhow, enjoy the show, and one of these days I'll get a decent recording to share with you.

I didn't mean to post this twice, and hadn't realized that occurred. There were a bunch of reallly lousy photos I tried to replace before submitting post. guess i blew that one! any how

I bought this a few years ago from Brendan at Heartbreaker Guitars. I was in Vegas on a business trip, and he and I had emailed back and forth before I got into town.

We spent a lovely afternoon playing with a bunch of different guitars he'd chosen for me to try, and this one just sang out to me like there was no tomorrow.

I haven't regretted it once. Wish the pictures did it justice, it's perfectly gorgeous, even with the clip rash!

Cheers

Nice guitar, Amy! For some reason, the pictures in the duplicate post do NOT show up for me (I get this little box saying that photobucket can't display this pic), but I'm glad I can see the entire guitar on this one...

Always good to hear from someone who truly appreciates their guitar... have a good trip!

I know why you love it...I have one too! (Englemann/EIR) Incredibly versatile and a voice much bigger/sweeter than a small body guitar has a right too? Beautiful...

This is another way I can think of. I was inspired to try and get my collection in one shot. But, it is missing one piece - the Voyage-Air is at the shop getting tuned up for vacation.

From Left to Right, you are looking at:
5 string open back banjo (old prewar pot on a postwar neck and new tuners)
Kala Uke
Little Martin
Samick
Breedlove 000
Huss & Dalton CM
Albert & Mueller S

in the back leaning on the chair is an old Harmony missing parts and a chuck of one shoulder. (it was $5 at Goodwill, it's a street marker for a party if nothing else!)
Face Forward:

About Face!

That was fun to set up, and YES I swept the floor before I laid them all down there! haha

yours in tune in deep
