Default A New Lesson From Toby Walker - Jamming With Happy Traum

Hi gang,

Happy and I shot this little video segment after the taping of my Blues Fingerpicking Freedom #2.

It's a short, downloadable lesson on how to improvise great blues solos with just a few notes. Check it out:

What a great lesson! I found myself playing along at the end - both the lead and the backup. It graduated nicely and was a nice length. Liked the price point too. Muchos Gracias!

I've downloaded it. It fits in well with the other lessons (E Pack) that I'm working on.

I got a little insight into that question I asked you the other day about wearing the thumb pick on the knuckle. In the split screen I saw Happy wears it BEHIND the knuckle but I noticed the angle his thumb was at. I gave it a try and actually am liking it. It's amazing the small changes that can improve your attempts to play fingerstyle!

I'm real glad to hear you all enjoy this. I think Happy is on to something here with presenting simple things everyone can do to improve their playing.

Thanks Toby. When things settle down for me I'm looking forward to getting some of your DVDs.

It might be nice to add a play through of the rhythm part so people can play along.
:-)
