Can't say I'd blame you one bit, it's gorgeous!

Is it still early enough that you could specify the finish color or burst? If so, what would you request?

Wow, so fast! I would not of been surprised with a two year wait and 2-3 months to build. Tell us more!

And BTW, big congrats.

Personally, I'd go with Waverlies. They have the period-correct look of the open-back Grovers that were used on the early 30's instruments. They look nice, and I love the way the feel as well!

Nope, not if you like it!

Trust me, I've been down that route. Done the GAS thing, buying & selling guitars ad nauseum. That Campellone is a GORGEOUS and WORLD CLASS instrument! If you're enjoying it, and there's not anything bothering you about the instrument, don't part with it yet. You may get the Triggs and find you liked the Campellone infinitely better. There is no "better" at this level of instrument, only different. And what someone else prefers, you may not.

If you're that interested, I would suggest this: Triggs is making that guitar either way. See if he'd be willing to ship it to you for a trial period after it's complete. That way you would have it in hand and could determine for yourself if it would be worth parting with the Campellone over. If it is, buy it and put the Campellone up for sale. If it's not, then you just saved yourself from making a big mistake!

GAS never goes away. The guitars I have now amaze me every time I play them, but that doesn't prevent me from having "wandering eyes"! In fact, I'm going to play a 30's Gibson Super 400 that a local shop has on Wednesday. It looks beautiful, and I've never played one. But, you can bet I'll be bringing my archtop with for comparison. That way, I don't needlessly convince myself that I need it when I may prefer what I already have!

I'm not sure if I'd go quite that far, but I'm definitely wiser about such things than I was when I started this crazy and endless journey five or six years ago!

Just to further our discussion, Brian, if your Campellone sounds anything like this, I would never let it go!

I love that clip. There are lots of great Campellone clips on YouTube, but I like this one since I prefer the acoustic archtop tone. That's a wonderful sounding guitar!
