Default 1993 Lowden S35 Photos

Nothing to do with anything really, but with all the new NAMM guitars and in particular the Tiger Myrtle Lowden, I am trying to get a better photo of the back of my old 1993 Lowden S35. (Tasmanian Blackwood/Cedar and beautiful binding).

Here are some photos I just took just a moment ago - truly my 'Golden Guitar'!!!!:

Yes, I know, I should have tidied up the pots and plants. Sorry, is that what you meant?

Kidding...

I can tell you that since buying this guitar that a lot of people here disparaged because my garden is a mess, no I mean, because of the signatures on the guitar...... i saw another of Bruce’s dislikes, a Maton, in the same woods as this Lowden (Tasmanian Blackwood/Cedar) and love it so much I have 3 Maton 808 size now... and I am pretty sure the next guitar I buy, if any, will be a Tommy E model Custom Shop 808. Expensive but good value for a custom compared to import stuff of standard famous models.

And....while I have been playing guitar for 56 odd years, after I got the first Mation I thought I better learn some TE tunes and have been through a number of his online courses with some success. I will never be TE but something always rubs off when learning some new things.

And with the Lowden side of things, I have fallen in love with many of the famous Lowden players’ music. And I have bought 2 more Lowdens. Mad!

And it all started with the messy garden photos... I mean sigs on the Lowden.

Did I mention that the guitar sounds like a dream? Open tunings, standard, delightful!

BluesKing777.
I absolutely believe you.

You're old enough to remember the Midday Show with Mike Walsh on channel 9 right?
I saw Tommy Emmanuel perform 'Lady Madonna' live on that show one day.
A little while later I recognized him standing in line at Tullamarine airport.
Then he went to the States and the rest is history.
