Default Preamp Pedal use with an active pickup

Hi All,

Does a preamp pedal exist that would enable to me to do away with the 9v battery on the pickup?

No. You need to replace the pickup with a passive pickup. Then the external preamp will be required to drive mic and line inputs (low impedance inputs) and be optional for guitar optimized inputs.
