Default Alvarez a/e baritone SDOTD

I'm not after one, but $269 is a good price on that guitar.

As much as I love my Alvarez guitars, reports of crummy electronics turn me off. Better off with none! YMMV.

Got mine for $299 about 16 months ago as a SDOTD, then ordered a $76 JC-1 tan case a week later (a nice case that also fits my Taylor 615 jumbo, FYI). This is a good way to test the waters in the baritone pond. No, it is not the build equal of my former Taylor baritone and still needs some minor set-up work, but for less than four Benjamin's you can try. The satin finish on the back and sides is a bit rough and has handling noise. The top is a nice glossy finish and the sunburst is attractive.

I plugged in the pickup system once or twice to verify that it actually works, but have never tried gigging with it, so I have no qualitative comments there.

I bought it. Low price for some low notes.

I got mine about 14 months ago on the SDOTD for $299. 30 days later MF put it up again for $279. MF has a 45 day price guarantee and refunded the extra 20 without any issue.

$269 is a great price.

They charged $16 sales tax. That's a year's supply of dental floss! I guess I'll use my old high E strings. But only the wound G string seems to remove the plaque.

I use Martin Retros. It takes a while for them to settle down, but then I find my mouth has a smooth, fundamental tone that really brings out the enamel.

I'll try these. So I'm not the only one who uses strings for floss. I was afraid someone would say something to hurt my fillings.
