Default Blues Licks in E for Clapton's 'Before You Accuse Me'

Hello everyone!

Been a while since i posted here. I've been so busy with life, but guitar never stopped being a big part of my life.

Lately i've gotten into blues music, both acoustic and electric, and Clapton's unplugged album is at the heart of it.

I've learned all the basics of Before you accuse me. I have the whole intro and the first verse down to perfection, and i know my 12-bar blues well, but i've never been much of a soloer, and the licks and solos are difficult for me.

I used a justin sandercoe video to pick up most of it, and it got all that down, but when it comes to figuring out licks and maybe even solos, all by myself, i kinda panic.

I've only recently tried getting into lead guitar, after playing rhythm all my life, so this is still very new territory.

Could anyone perhaps help a pal, either with advice, or with some sweet sweet licks for the song?

Thanks a bunch!

/Marc

Don't know if it's what you want, but Wolf Marshall put out an outstanding book with note-for-note transcriptions of the songs on this album, including the solos. I found it very helpful and accurate.

Jerry's guitar bar has a lesson on the song. Worth the few dollars. It's fun to play.
