Default Picture of my rig from a recent gig

I use the little Roland JC-55 amp for the Gibson L-5. I use the LR Baggs Para-Acoustic DI sitting on top of the Roland for my acoustic (which is fitted out with an LR Baggs Anthem pickup. And I was using a Lab Series L-5 amp for my other electrics.

815 - I always enjoy your gig pics .... you're the one with the beautiful singer, correct? I hope I haven't confused you with someone else.

I'm assuming your setup goes to a PA. I don't see a mic on the Roland, do you ajust the mic or am I missing something (which I probably am)? Wait ... the Roland goes directly to the PA via the DI, right?

Haha, yeah we have an attractive singer.

There is actually a 2nd arm on that mic stand with a mic on the Roland. Both amps and the LR Baggs go into a PA.

They are great amps and you can find the CHEAP ($200 - $300). I picked this one up on Craigslist a couple months ago for $250 and its a great gigging amp. Elliott Easton used a Lab Series L-5 amp on the early CARS albums.

I took a Lab 5 and made it into a rack mounted preamp for Ty way back 20 years ago or so. He would run that into a 600 to 800 watt amp and to a bunch of 4 X 4 stacks for a very big sound. King's X was the name of his band.

Those JC's are just fantastic. You have any more pics of your pedal board? Seems full

I just wanted to make sure you were who I thought you were.

Now, I see the 2nd arm on the amp.

Haha - I actually have SIX dirt pedals on the board and TWO delay pedals.

The signal chain goes like this...

Guitar --> Old Cro Overdrive --> Zen Drive --> AnalogMan BiCompROSSor --> Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah --> Fulltone OCD --> Fullton Distortion Pro --> AnalogMan King Of Tone --> Fulltone Fulldrive II --> Ernie Ball Volume (with Boss Tuner pedal attached) --> Boss Super Chorus --> Boss Giga Delay --> Line6 DL4 --> amp(s) [from the Super Chorus to the output of the DL4 there is a stereo signal if 2 amps are used).

The reason I have so many dirt pedals is that I play with several different bands doing various styles of music in various venues with various guitars. I've not found one pedal that does it all.

Cool KOT man. Since it looks like you dig OD/Dist as much as I do, have you tried the Wampler Hot Wired v2? I just got that and really like it. Another good delay is the Timeline (wow), and Flint (if you like Trem and verb). Great chop and good lessons bro, thanks for sharing.

You could probably replace that whole pedalboard with a GR55. I ditched most of mine when i got one. Something to think about

Great share, you have a real passion for what you do.

You know I'm actually shopping for an M13 this weekend. However, my pedals won't be going anywhere.

There's just something about a great pedal and a great amp that can't be emulated. Some of the Swiss army knife gadgets in one box are kind of like "steak in a can", yeah its steak - but it just ain't the same.
