Default NGD Eastman E10ss /v

Hi all,

I picked up this Eastman E10ss /v (v=varnish finish) from a A Plus Guitars on Reverb. Supposedly, this was an Eastman rep demo, and I’m it’s first “public” owner.

I am very impressed with the tone and looks. The top looks satin, hand rubbed, imperfect, and in general the opposite of a gloss poly perfect finish.

I find the tone so far to be a cross between Martin D15 and a J45. This guitar is making me think hard about a few relationships I have with guitars in my stable. It’s that good!

Hey Sal...congrats! You added the pick guard right? If it had a little wider string spacing I'd probably have one too?

Thanks gents... llew - The Acoustic Shoppe had a pickguard in stock - specifically designed for this model (that he also sells - I bought mine as a demo somewhere else).

I am one of those weird guys that loves the narrower string spacing and nut.

Beautiful guitar, Sal. I need to see and play one of these Eastman varnish series. Congrats again!

I left an Eastman e10 OO or OM model sitting at GC once. Used for about $550. I can't recall condition too well but it was "fine". I kind of regret it. It was one of those tiimes where I felt smarter than Guitar Center and thought I'd flip a guitar.

It was gone on my next visit.

Congrats! I kind of want one of these. Do you remember how it compares to the standard e10ss? How different is it from the d18 and E20ss?

Thanks fellas.

Scola... I’m not sure I can tell the difference between this guitar’s tone and the prior E10ss I owned. If pressed I’d say the same. With regard to my D18, the 18 is louder, and the Eastman warmer... more mellow. I also have a Gibson j50, and I peg this new Eastman as the offspring of my j50 and my all mahogany D15.

In terms of “feel”, this guitar feels at home. I like the look, the tone, the neck... it feels good.

My E10ss was supposed to be here today but usps in all their genius still show it headed to the next facility. It hasn’t logged a location since April 20th when it left Springfield.

At least someone got their new toy.

Extremely cool, Sal. I saw this guitar listed. Glad you jumped on it.
