Rope Stretchin' Blues (Blind Blake)
Hi guys,
here's my latest recording. Blind Blake's Rope Stretchin' Blues on a Gibson J-45. From an arrangement by Ari Eisinger. I hope you like it. |

I really like this one, there are some great dynamics in the composition, especially right at the start, and you've nailed them. Ari's lessons are really working well for you. Keep 'em coming!

What's your FPR schedule like this year? I'm there with Jorma for the Rev. Gary Davis weekend. It would be great to meet up again. Last edited by Guest 33123; 03-17-2018 at 02:03 PM. |

Next month with Larry Campbell, Woody again in May, Jorma's master class in November -- three trips this year, a first for me. I thought about Gary Davis weekend, but I've got so much of his stuff that I've yet to master from past classes with Jorma and Woody that I decided to pass on it.

Good job, just needs tighter rhythm and note volume control. Personally I would leave out the fast strumming bit and keep it all about the blues.

Thanks for the advice! Not one of my better performances. Time to go back to the woodshed I think.
