I love John Prine. And he sounds better on this clip than I've heard him lately.

His voice sounds SO much better than I've been led to believe from recent reports. Saw him about 10 or 11 years ago. What a national treasure.

Yep...great to hear him. Wonderful writer and player. And his voice sounds solid and strong...kinda like that new namesake Martin D-28 he's playing! Good eye Chris...

My phrase too, John "A National Treasure" says it all. I would have to add, like Mark Twain and Garrison Keiller (and so many others), he is so truly American, you know. Born and raised in Illinois, from the heartland, and what a funny and generous soul.

Thanks, John,
Scott

It's great there's a John Prine model Martin, but me, I'm still waiting on the Steve Goodman model.

John "the singing mailman that turned into a national treasure" Prine.

If he's not the best American songwriter in the past 100 years, I'll eat my hat!

A-men, Auggie. Did you ever have a chance to see Steve person in concert? If you did, you'd never forget it the rest of your life.

thanks!
