What Electric Guitar gear are you looking to buy?
What electric guitar gear are you currently looking to buy? It may not be immediate because you're looking for the right deal, new or used, but it's on your radar should one pop up.
Guitar, amps, pedals, etc are all in the mix but it's gotta be something that can be bought for a realistic price should you find it (for example, you're not going to find that 1959 Les Paul for $1000). |

None! I'm totally good on electrics, I have great ones.
My next acoustic purchase will be a small bodied 12 fret...something cheap, want to see if I like the size before I investigate Waterloos... |

Good luck on finding that first 12 fret. I'm not familiar with Waterloo.

I am downsizing. I don't plan on anything new other than a 12 fret short scale slothead could be in the future or possibly an Emerald X7.-- Darwin

I more than good by any practical measure, need to sell a few electrics and a couple of amps. Would I use the funds to buy anything?
I'm somewhat tempted by a modern Jaguar. I have the inexpensive Squier version and play it fairly often. Love the trem and the short scale, like the controls (including the "rhythm circuit"), but I'm not a huge fan of the original vintage bridge and would really like a wider nut spacing. I could go with a custom neck and replace the bridge and maybe upgrade the pickups, but by that's a fair amount of cost/bother. Alas, the new Jaguar in the Fender Professional line dispenses with the rhythm circuit--which is something I could live without--but it's pricey enough for me that I'm not tempted if it's not my ideal. If I started playing out more on electric bass I'd probably want to upgrade my old Peavey combo amp to something lighter with more power.

Sometime in the coming year I plan to pick up a Electro Harmonix Lester G pedal. Those things are awesome. I have pretty much everything else I could ever need, but I really want that pedal. It has too many features to list, but is pretty simple to operate once you get the hang of it.
Here it is. Made in NY, USA. https://www.ehx.com/products/lester-g |

I've been sniffing around the idea of the Catalinbread Belle Epoch Deluxe. For those who don't know, the attempt with the BED is to create the most accurate tapeless reproduction of the Echoplex EP-3 ever. Catalinbread had already come up with the Belle Epoch, a small form-factor reproduction of the EP-3 that was wildly successful, but Howard Gee at Catalinbread got a bee in his bonnet to take it to the limit. This time he decided to exactly reproduce the entire preamp, record amp, and reproduce amp, all in the analog realm, leaving only the tape itself to the digital realm.
Some may know that I own an Echoplex EP-3. I've tried many other delay systems and have never found one that caused the echo to behave the same as an Echoplex. The main downside to the Echoplex is that it is an electro-mechanical device. Besides the maintenance required, every moment you spend operating the unit is wearing it out. So, an EP-3 that isn't as subject to entropy as the original would be extremely welcome. So, everything I've seen says it is about as close as you can get. I'm keeping my eyes open for more feedback. I am interested in vintage lap steels at low prices. I play a NIOMA that is just amazingly clear or wild depending on the settings. I like odd ball pedals from the 70sand 80s. A used Scott Walker electric is high on my list. Klotz cables, while expensive, would be an improvement over the Planet Waves I use now. If I could find a Tele with Strings through the bridge and not through the body, I would seriously consider it.

A fret job. That's a bit complicated with my lacquered maple neck, so I might wind up buying a replacement neck instead. That turns out to be complicated too, seems hard to find a vintage-spec 3-bolt Strat neck.

That was 2012-2016 (5 amps, two guitars, 5 speakers, built two cabs, a couple of pedals...).
I know, I'm a lightweight compared to some folks. |

Fender tube amp to accompany my Fender Mustang solid state amp.

I would love to pick up an octave pedal. They are fun. An EH Micro POG sounds good.
