It doesn't get any better...
Sitting and playing in the quiet with the power out, just a few candles to light my way...

I have done that before when we have lost power. I enjoyed it.

It's like having your own private seance!
Always enjoy those moments when it's just me and my guitar...

That can be very enjoyable, Mycroft. No distractions either. Hopefully your power isn't out too long though.

Around 12 hours. Still out for many people. Now if I could only figure out what time that it is...

You really don't have to wait for a power outage. There is a thing called a light switch that is installed in most homes.

Playing guitar in a power outtage... AND posting online. So modern!

Hope you are ok up there, we lost it for a while and then it flickered all day.
I love the forest and I love it here, but when those tall things sway and swerve in the wind I am far too tense to play guitar. Playing in the dark is definitely a cool thing to do, but Not while limbs are bouncing off the roof. Glad you found your chill. |

First time it occurred to me we were keeping our 5 young grandsons--it was a July night in Georgia--of course it knocked out the A/C so it immediately starts to heat up--we were all huddled in the kitchen by the candle light--I ran to the music room, grabbed my guitar, yanked my shirt off, came back into the kitchen, called it BaBa unplugged, and started yodeling She'll be Coming Round The Mountain--of course they were mortified. Embarrassing your grands---priceless!
