fingerstyle piece in DGDF#AD tuning
I've got a second video together now. This one is an open-tuning fingerstyle piece called "South Branch" to go with the blues I did a few weeks ago. Actually, I had a tough time playing it for the video. I was able to pull off the blues in one take, but my hands just weren't working this time. They were really tight — I have got to get them off the phone and computer! I think we got a decent take. It isn't that difficult of a piece. I'm a songwriter more than a solo guitar player, but this one popped out with no words.
I'll do at least one more with these guys. The next one will be a singer/songwriter sort of thing, which is probably (hopefully!) my strength. Anyway, thanks in advance. I hope you enjoy it. Very nice and tranquil. You did a great job on this song. The Bourgeois sounds very rich and punchy too. Interesting tuning too!

By the way, I took this guitar in for a neck reset this morning. Something strange happened that has me scratching my head. I was away from it for a week, and when I pulled it out the action was super high. It's got that bolt on neck. The guitar tech is really great, and I trust he's going to do it right. He's also looking at the top and braces to make sure it's all ok.
Very strange.
