EQ and a "tiny" bit of reverb, try to stay as natural as possible.

I have a Zoom 507 Reverb stomp box which is small and easy to move around when I use the small Fender Frontline amp (which has no built-in reverb) to play in other rooms or the back yard around the house. I have the Line6 POD X3 Live unit in my studio which has the "GearBox" on-screen software interface offering huge arrays of effects many of which can be used for acoustic guitar without making it sound like a death metal shred engine.

I use a G Natural also. I tweak and store EQ settings for each guitar/pickup combo. Then I apply those EQ settings globally to all patches.

In the patches themselves, I use compression, modulation (chorus, basically), reverb, and delay. Most of these are very subtle, but sometimes I use the delay effect fairly heavily.

Aloha,

I often do not use any effects at all on the guitar. But, the TC Electronics M-2000 dual engine, studio effects processor I have offers so many choices (256presets) plus ability to create 256 of your own combinations and to control the parameters of each. If you've got the time to explore this unit is a gas!

At gigs, I use very light doses of hall, room, and plate reverbs, some delays, some pitch control and some cool combos (like a room doubler w/ large hall reverb - very cool!).

Even in the light doses, the stereo effects give my voice and guitar a depth to the stereo field which really helps in some of the places I play.

But the coolest effect on the M2000 is #69. It gives me an old time rock n' roll sound for voice and guitar that sounds just like one of those old high school gym dances back in the early 60's. I love that sound on blues! Even though I only use it maybe once a night. Great slap back!

I use a TC G-Natural for everything. I always use compression and reverb, then sometimes detune and delay.

I use a condensor mic into a tiny Mackie 402-VLZ3 mixer, and then one RCF 310 powered PA speaker, sometimes two. So no effects, even reverb

Default Don't know that this will help much...

...but I have an old Korg G2 Acoustic effects processor that I've used for over 10 years. Nothing is as simple for me in a multi effects unit.

But basically, to answer the question more effectively, I'd recommend trying your favorite flavors of chorus, reverb halls and plates, and delays. Get them from whatever effects unit you like the sound of.

I usually try not to use any effects. But I will sometimes use Boss Chorus Ensemble with my 12 string. Sounds heavenly!

Just a touch of Chorus from my Boss CH-1 (only occasionally and very sparingly). Also just a smidge of reverb from my amp.

Aside from that it's au naturale.
