Default Equinox input?

I just got off the phone with a Dtar representative. I asked him if the Equinox requires a stereo cable or it can use a regular 1/4" cable. He said a regular 1/4" will work. But when I look at the site, it says it requires a "single stereo 1/4" cable".

"Allows connecting input and output to Solstice on a single, stereo cable."

http://www.d-tar.com/equinox.shtml

Am I missing something here?

The "stereo cable" reference relates to connecting the Equinox to the Solstice via the effects loop on the Solstice.

Yes, the 1/4" regular input will work if you use the XLR and/or 1/4" output on the back. But if you use a 1/4" stereo (TRS) cable, you can hook the unit up to a D-TAR Solstice only using one cable instead of two.
