Default Hallelujah Cover [Video]

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urhYcjzlNTU

Last night I experimented with recording myself for about half of a gig to see if I could get anything useable for promotion out of it.

This is one of my most requested songs.

Nice to meet you Tommy!

I liked it, and I know it's hard to get a good live thang down on tape in a club. I have a few but not worth posting as a promo so I just use some of my YTV; especially for wedding type stuff. You sounded very nice on this and maybe you can make a demo vid with a variety of sample live performances to showcase your setlist and glimpses of some of your best performances and eliminate the parts where people are walking by or too much noise; ya know that kind of stuff. Sounds good tho Tommy!

Nice job Tommy. Wish the venue had been a little quieter (and more attentive).

Good singing, the guitar is way too busy and loud. I have a tendency to do the same. Lighten up on the guitar and see how it sounds. It's not hard to do and I think you'll like it more.

One problem is you're in a loud bar, so it may be tough to lighten up on the guitar in that setting. But try it and I think you'll like it.

Thanks! Yeah that's what I'm hoping to do. I hate talking about myself to people so I'm not very good at lining up new gigs, so I'm hoping a promo video can do most of the work for me

Oh I should also mention the Taylor I'm playing. I've had it since about 2009, but it was you folks on this forum that found it and pointed it out to me, and I ordered it from Wildwood Music

That's how it goes when you're gigging much of the time.

Yeah this was a busy pizza place/brewery. It's loud but its actually a really responsive crowd so it's fun.

Nicely done, and thanks for sharing. You have a nice voice, and I like how you played this faster than it's normally done. Good luck to you!

Thanks! And yeah I have a bad habit of speeding everything up when I play it.

Enjoyed this very much! Is that a GS7? I give you a lot of credit; it's often lonely performing in a situation where you are basically background music. Glad they are an appreciative crowd. I agree that the volume of the guitar could be a little lower, but not too much as it sounds very nice. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! And it's a GS8 custom that I found through this forum. Adirondack top and Rosewood backs/sides.
