1995 Taylor 512c refret, McIntyre pup,TRADED!!!
Hello good people!
1995 512c. TRADED Beautiful super light weight 1995 512c Recently received a complete full renew package. She is set up to perfection and refretted with Jescar hard frets. Also has a McIntyre Feather pickup and Taylor wave compensated bone saddle and bone nut. All the work was done by my friend and "Luthier to the Stars", Tim Luranc, at Taylor Repair in El Cajon. Former Head Luthier of R. Taylor! 1.75" nut and 2 3/16" at saddle, with the famous "golden age" slim neck! These Pre-NT grand concerts have a 25.6" scale but the slim neck makes it easy to fret. Very nice if you use drop tunings! Also the body is about .25" more shallow than the post 2000s allowing a bit more plugged volume before feedback, and a bit more shoulder comfort as well. The tight grain Engleman top has most of the warmth of Cedar yet most of the punch of Adirondack. And the mahogany is very pretty. Weighs less than the newer models, too. Well played and shows it with some small top dings and light button tracks on the back, but all minor and nothing through the finish. No cracks ever. And never any structural issues at all. I was sure she was a keeper, but in the past year have been playing almost all my gigs completely acoustically! So I have been gravitating back to larger guitars for the unplugged volume. And if you look at my sig it is obvious I have way too many guitars! Sounds much larger than she is! And sounds huge plugged in. Very nice pink poodle case in fine shape... This guitar needs absolutely nothing to go to work! I am loosing some bucks on this one, but over $2K seems unreasonable, even with perfect structural condition and all the serious upgrades. This is a gorgeous "GE" Taylor. Paul is correct - there's something about these mid-90's Taylors that are extraordinary. With the upgrades and set-up, I know this thing must play and have tone like a dream! Someone should jump on this!
